Heaton Road Surgery

Repeat prescriptions

Repeat prescriptions are normally for patients with long-term conditions who receive regular treatment. Your doctor will decide who can have a repeat prescription.  We aim to review patients annually when they take repeat medications.  Reviews can be done more frequently, depending on the treatment being taken.  This review will be with the practice pharmacist.  Patients with long term conditions will be invited for an annual review around the time of their birthday month.  We do this in order to monitor your condition and the medications you take.

All prescriptions will now be issued electronically to your nominated pharmacy.

When ordering repeat medication please allow 72 hours before contacting your pharmacy. If you do not have a nominated pharmacy please let us know which pharmacy you would like to nominate.

Wherever possible please order your medication via the NHS app or  Patient Access
